Diane Brett

Dianne has been a nurse for 32 years since completion of training in 1983 and a Tissue Viability Nurse since 2001.  Her interest and passion for all aspects of tissue viability first sparked whilst she was a staff nurse working within the elderly care field and heard a fellow colleague speaking about the wound healing process, a concept that she knew little about . The investigation of this led her to gaining her degree and a career within tissue viability. She is committed to reducing the harm caused to individuals by pressure ulcers. She has been successful in considerably reducing the number of pressure ulcers developed within the organisation she works for. She is also a member of the pressure ulcer expert working group for the Midlands and East region
